The Achievements and Trophies of Max Payne 3: Complete List and New Screens

Max Payne 3 includes over 40 unique in-game challenges and accomplishments that span across both the single-player story and multiplayer to add to your Xbox LIVE Gamerscore or your PlayStation Network Trophy collection. 

Today we reveal the complete list along with some brand new screens showcasing a few of these.
 
We've taken the liberty of omitting a few secret ones of course, you'll have to figure out on your own how to unlock those once Max Payne 3 is released this May. Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition Official Social Club Multiplayer Event on PSN (April 5, 4-7PM Eastern)

The Spring calendar of Social Club multiplayer events heats up this month with a double dose for PSN, beginning Thursday April 5th with an afternoon of Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition from 4-7PM Eastern, and continuing in two weeks on Friday April 20th with Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition in the same time slot.

Hope to see everyone on both days, but first things first: the GTAIV event. We'll have a live video stream on the multiplayer events page, and you can also join in the chat and enter to win one of 20 prize packs. Winners will receive a t-shirt, GTAIV license plate and a bunch of stickers – all delivered to your doorstep.

We'll begin the event in GTAIV and later switch over to The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, about an hour for each. We recommend staying in the chatroom on the multiplayer events page while playing so you'll be able to let us know your IDs. Any version of GTAIV or the episodes will be compatible with us, so don't worry if you don't own the Complete Edition. PlayRockstar12 will be in original Grand Theft Auto IV multiplayer for the entire event for those that don't have the episodes.

OFFICIAL ROCKSTAR PSN IDs

Only add one PSN ID to your friends list to play. If you have a different version than the Complete Edition disc for Grand Theft Auto IV, no worries as you will be compatible with us.

FINDING US IN-GAME
Where's Rockstar? Pay attention to the live chat on the Social Club Multiplayer Events page. We'll announce where we're at in there. We'll begin in Grand Theft Auto IV in GTA Race, and later progress to the two episodes. Use the in-game cellphone to select the mode we're playing during the event.

NEED A PARTNER?
For team-based modes such as Team Deathmatch, gather your friends using Party Mode. You can also hit up the chat during the event or just post your PlayStation Network ID in the Comments section below.

ABOUT PARTY MODE
Party Mode is an easy way to get your group together and find matches.  Here are the three quick and easy steps to get you up and running:

1. Save your current game. To get started, fire up the in-game mobile phone by pressing "Up" on the keyboard. Select Multiplayer > Party Mode > Yes.
2. Next, open up your phone again and select the Friends option to invite at least one person into your Party Mode game.
3. Once your team is ready to roll, open up the in-game phone again and select Games > GTA Race.

UPDATE: Play Max Payne 3 at PAX East in Boston this Weekend (April 6th - 8th) & Score Deluxe Gear

We're proud to announce that we will be at PAX East this weekend (today April 6th through Sunday April 8th) with Max Payne 3 playable at our booth (#912) on all three platforms: PlayStation®3, Xbox 360® and PC.

If you're in the Boston area or plan to travel to the show, come through for an exclusive opportunity to go hands-on with the game before its release this May.

We'll also be on hand with giveaways of some brand new Max Payne 3 gear hot off the presses - including the Max Payne 3 Logo Tee, the Rockstar Bullet Tee, the game's Official Poster, and the Deluxe Sticker Pack with oversized action-packed stickers all as seen here.

Max Payne's inability to trust his own friends in the story transfers over onto the player when they're in an online match, creating an interesting bridge across all facets of the game... Another theme that carries over between modes is that of revenge and vendettas… Vendettas occur when one player has been killed frequently by another. Once this happens, the Vendetta will form, and bonus XP perks will be rewarded to the victim if they get revenge, or on the killer if they manage to survive the Vendetta. This neat mechanic doesn't overpower the experience, but instead provides an interesting little metagame that players can engage in while still in a larger multiplayer affair."

“(Gang Wars) was, without a shadow of a doubt, my favourite game mode of the pack we played. Some rounds lasted 15 minutes and some lasted under two. No one player on either team ever seemed to be the true champion, including experienced Rockstar players, and every round was as ridiculously enjoyable as the next… Every single mode was stunning though, I just think Gang Wars won my recommendation because of the sheer variety being put forward. Rockstar have definitely put their best foot forward with this flagship multiplayer mode.”

Recap of the Red Dead Redemption Official Social Club Multiplayer Event on PSN (March 8) with Screens, Fan Video & Prize Winners

We kicked off the brand new multiplayer events calendar in style on Friday March 8th with an afternoon of Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition on PSN. Thanks to everyone that entered the sweepstakes, played in-game and hung out on the Social Club multiplayer events page to chat and watch the live video stream.

Social Club member The_Duckmaster is the Grand Prize winner from the event, who will soon receive two hand-painted, custom Red Dead PS3 controllers. And congrats to all 20 runner-ups who will each get a Red Dead t-shirt, deck of playing cards and an assortment of stickers: gabe2121, Darkk_Desperado, Musicman5150, Illusion24, lewis74, icg665, enricky559, DC6100355, hellofahat, Sepeli, SAV-UK, Pat723, chaseoquinn, SmellyBadger, 1337Pilot, alleykt123, UltimateWatson, MarTechnologies, RUSTYAVC and Thunder_Passion.

Cheers to everyone who played online in a day full of action - including an epic Free Roam session when RedDeadDev3 led a posse into a Gang Hideouts battle, filling the area with bloody gunfights, explosions, and absolute annihilation of the enemy bandits (thanks to posse members Kingz4Life04, Christobell46, vince_123, beastfin, alex2071, Brink-2-Chaos, GM-Shenmue and others). You can see that particular posse in effect at around the 17-minute mark in the below video. Also a shout to marcopius, X_P_KILLER___ and  jakeman143 who duked it out with RedDeadDev3 over who got to push the mine cart during the Walton's Gold cooperative mission. Good stuff.

The Weapons of Max Payne 3: Submachine Guns (New Video, Screens & 360-Degree Renders)

Our latest feature on the weaponry from Max Payne 3's devastating arsenal highlights the submachine guns (SMGs) - lightweight automatic weapons that can hose their targets with bullets within seconds. With the weightlessness of a pistol and the rapid-fire rate of a much bulkier machine gun, these spray and slay weapons make short work of enemies at close quarters as the holder maintains slick maneuverability throughout.

You can dual-wield the lighter SMG models such as the M10 and the Micro 9mm to let these slug slingers take out opponents in double-time. Prefer a little more kick in your SMG? Then pick up the heavier SAF .40 with two hands and rip through the armor of your foes.

We've reserved three extra plots in the Max Payne 3 multiplayer map 'Cemetery' for a few lucky Social Club members. A special, ghoulish chance to see your name etched into a tombstone on the map for all to see (a reminder for US fans that you can also still get a shot at claiming a tombstone via the promotion currently running with GameStop).

How to become immortalized in Max Payne 3's multiplayer? Social Club members, act quickly - click here and enter your first and last name (make sure to use your real name as you will need to confirm it with us via personal identification if you're picked) between now and end of day this Monday, March 12th. we'll pick three entries at random on March 13th - each will be contacted immediately thereafter to confirm their identity and claim the tombstones. Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition PSN Official Social Club Multiplayer Event w/ Triple XP (March 8, 5-8PM Eastern)

We've got 3 hours of online action, Triple XP, and special giveaways in this week's installment of the Rockstar Games Social Club Multiplayer Events Series. It all happens Thursday March 8th from 5-8PM Eastern when we'll be hosting a Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition Social Club multiplayer event on PSN, the first date on our brand new Spring calendar.

Join a posse and gun away at Twin Rocks' gang hideout, race horses and dodge bullets in Tall Trees, enter the mad dash for gold in Fort Mercer, lay down your best hand of cards at Casa Madrugada's Poker table and slay zombies and dodge retcher spew in Undead Overrun. Taking part will allow you to:

• Play with the folk at Rockstar Games
• Win a pair of limited edition, hand-painted Red Dead PS3 controllers, plus the chance at 20 runner-up prize packs in the sweepstakes
• Watch a live video stream of the event
• Participate in a text chat with Rockstar and other Social Club members

The video stream, chat and sweepstakes entry form are all available on the Social Club multiplayer events page. Any version of Red Dead or Undead Nightmare is compatible with Game of the Year Edition multiplayer.

Oh, and we're activating Triple XP beginning Thursday and leaving it on until early Monday morning so you'll have the chance to hone your sharp-shooting skills and earn some precious XP along the way. Here's what you need to know before you saddle up...

FORMING A POSSE
To start the game, invite your friends, form a posse and find Rockstar, follow these steps:

1. From the main menu, press 'Start' and then enter 'Online Multiplayer' by pressing the 'Square' button, and choose 'Normal'.
2. Once in a Free Roam lobby, press the 'Select' button to open the in-game multiplayer menu.
3. Press the 'R1' button and then the 'Triangle' button to 'Show Friends'. Invite at least one friend into your posse using the 'X' button.
4. Once your friends are in the game, press the 'Triangle' button again to return to the 'Players' menu and select them with the 'X' button to 'Propose New Posse' or 'Send Posse Invite'.
5. Once you and your friends are ready to go, start up the game mode we're currently playing. We'll announce modes in the chat.
