Announcing Max Payne 3 Multiplayer Downloadable Content Details

Today we're happy to announce Max Payne 3 downloadable content plans with a full lineup of multiplayer content planned for release this summer and beyond, starting with the Local Justice Map Pack coming in June. Players will also be able to order the Max Payne 3 Rockstar Pass to get all of the upcoming DLC at a special discounted rate, compared to purchasing each pack individually. Starting today, the Rockstar Pass can be pre-ordered for Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network from Best Buy or GameStop (PSN/XBL) in the United States (or pre-ordered for PSN directly from the PlayStation Store).

The Rockstar Pass grants you access to all upcoming Max Payne 3 DLC and will be available for 2400 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE), or $29.99 (PlayStation Network and PC) – over a 35% discount compared to purchasing the content individually. Once purchased, the Rockstar Pass enables gamers to download all DLC releasing through the end of 2012 via the in-game store as soon as it is made available on Xbox LIVE, PlayStation Network, or PC.

The Local Justice Map Pack, coming in June, will include the Police Precinct map for Gang Wars, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Payne Killer multiplayer modes. The pack will also feature two additional maps for Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Payne Killer, new precinct-themed multiplayer avatar items, multiplayer challenges, and more.

Max Payne 3 Special Edition Available for Pre-Order till Launch

In light of some unfortunate recent retail issues in the UK and elsewhere in Europe which have affected preorder availability, we've decided to extend the period to pre-order the Max Payne 3 Special Edition to continue all the way until game launch this May. Fans in the UK can order the Special Edition with local retailers as well as through the Rockstar Warehouse online. For everyone else in Europe and Australia, please check with your retailer of choice for details on pre-ordering (we will also have extended Special Edition pre-order availability for EU at the Rockstar Warehouse within the month).

As we always strive to make everything equally available to all our fans across the globe as best we can, we're also extending the pre-order period here in North America through launch, exclusively with GameStop.

Pre-Order Max Payne 3 from Select Retailers by April 15th and Get Early Access to the Pill Bottle Loadout Item

Anyone that pre-orders Max Payne 3 from the retailers below by April 15th will get early access at game launch to the Pill Bottle - a multiplayer Loadout item which allows you to carry more health-reviving painkillers as you fight. This item provides you with the capacity to carry extra painkillers – helping you survive longer amidst the killing fields of online multiplayer.

In Max Payne 3 multiplayer, you can equip your character with up to five unique Items that boost your attributes to help you stay alive in online matches. We'll be revealing more of these soon, but for now you can guarantee early access to the life-saving Pill Bottle by pre-ordering by April 15th from any of the retailers listed below (the Pill Bottle will be made available to the general public at some point after game launch). Stay tuned for more retail partners that may be added here soon.
