Rockstar Game Tips: Strategies for Swift Preparedness in GTAIII 10-Year Anniversary Edition (“The Pick Up”)

Any veteran GTA player will tell you that preparedness is the basis to ensuring mission success, no matter what city or decade your particular vehicular challenge, contract hit, or covert action takes place.

With the recent re-release of Grand Theft Auto III (10 Year Anniversary Edition) finding an entire new generation of players nimbly trying to beat mission after mission from the Leones, Yakuzas, good old Donald Love and more - it's a good time to remind not only GTAIII new jacks but rusty old timers of some good solid strategies for getting the job done.

Case in point - a favor for Toni Cipriani known as 'The Pickup' - where a simple exchange of cash turns into being surrounded by gun-toting Triads out for blood.

As with many missions involving potential conflict, it's best to stock full up on firepower, equip some armor, fill your health and ready an ideal getaway vehicle - before you even head to the cash pick-up.

The map legend below with locations numbered 1 through 4, correspond with the four screenshots that follow:

Use this map and the numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4 to find the locations shown in the next few screenshots.

Drive any vehicle to point [1] on the map, Easy Credit Autos, and crash through the window to reach the coveted Banshee. BTW - there's a hidden package inside too, if you're a collector...

Take your new vehicle south to point number [2] on the map. A Sentinel is parked near an assault rifle and armor. In order to get to the items, head near where you see the red Banshee parked below (near the health pickup).

Follow the wall past the health pickup into a small alley to point [3] on the map, and inside you'll find the assault rifle and armor ready to be attained.

Follow the map to point [4] in Chinatown and park your Banshee near the street as seen below. Position it so you can get in easily once the Triads are on your tail. It'd be wise to equip your assault rifle before moving into the alley.

Grab the mission pickup shown by a blip on the radar and run past the Triads back toward your Banshee. Waste the one standing still at the end of the alley before you get back in the car. Drive a few blocks away and watch out for more Triads driving around in a delivery truck. Once you're a safe distance away, equip the assault rifle, turn around and fire away.

Be careful to not get pulled out of the car when driving around. They'll surround you and take a significant chunk out of your health.

If you have any of your own tried and true tips for The Pickup or if you'd like us to do an official Rockstar Game Tips feature on any other part of the game, let us know here in comments...

Rockstar Game Tips: L.A. Noire Pointers & Rare Vehicles

Time to hit the ground running with some solid tips - especially if you're still wearing the uniform seen above.

With intrepid gumshoes around the world playing L.A. Noire since its recent worldwide release, we've assembled a few helpful pro-tips to get you playing like an ace detective. Read on for those as well as for some locations of rare vehicles you may be having trouble locating in the game...

  • Keep an eye out for newspapers when on case as they give insight into why various characters are doing what they are doing and how stories are connected. There are 13 total newspapers in the game, and they do count toward 100% completion.

  • When driving, press 'Square' on PS3 or 'X' on Xbox 360 to get turn-by-turn directions from your partner. The same button can be used when you're walking around on a case and not sure what to do next.

  • The difference between choosing Doubt and Lie is that you need evidence to prove someone is Lying. You can choose Doubt if you think they're holding something back, but you don't have proof.

  • Intuition points can be used during questioning to 'Remove An Answer' and 'Ask The Community', but they can also come in handy when you are finding clues. In the notebook, choose Intuition and then 'Find All Clues'.

  • More powerful weapons can be acquired via the trunk of a police vehicle when in a shootout, in case you find yourself needing stronger firepower.

When at a crime scene, search everywhere for clues. But even more importantly, watch your partner. He may be looking at some evidence that you haven't yet noticed.

  • Use the in-game log to read everything that's been said by all characters while on a case. This can help during questioning, and in ways is more useful than the notebook. Press 'Start' and then choose 'Log'.

  • During the Patrol missions Cole will be armed with the Colt .38 hand gun. The only time that Cole flexes this is during the bank shootout in ‘Armed and Dangerous’. You can equip this by dropping the shotgun that you start with initially. This will help you towards getting the ‘Roscoe and Friends’ achievement/trophy.

  • Finding it hard to earn five star ratings on cases? Turn off both the 'Clue Hints' and 'Action Skip' options in the Gameplay settings, to instantly boost your ratings by 2 stars.

  • When chasing a suspect in a vehicle, be sure to drive along the left side of the vehicle to allow your partner to shoot out the tires and end the chase early.

  • A location will be crossed out in the notebook if all clues have been found there and if all witnesses and suspects have been questioned. If you have a location not crossed out, there is still something to be discovered.

  • After completing a desk, you can access Free Roam from one of the folders in the Cases menu, accessed from the main menu.
If you're going for 100% in L.A. Noire, there are 95 vehicles you'll need to find, along with completing all of the cases, street crimes and more. The Social Club 100% checklist will help you track all of this, and allows you to compare your progress to friends. Here's a sampling of the rare vehicles in the game, as well as one of just a few locations where you can find them (if you want to be able to find the vehicles for yourself without any help, feel free to skip the rest of this post!):
  • International KB5 - Flatbed
When playing through "Manifest Destiny", find one of these in the alley behind the building you circle around to sneak up on the rooftop sniper.

  • Buick Ambulance
Look behind the Good Samaritan Hospital (a landmark) for one of these on Wilshire between Lucas and Witmer.

  • Nash Deluxe 600 Army
Parked inside the gates on the west side of Van Ness just south of Lemongrove.

  • International Police Wagon
Climb into one of these at the railroad crime scene during 'The Studio Secretary Murder'.

  • Studebaker Commander Police
Find one parked at the railroad crime scene during 'The Driver's Seat'. Get in the car before questioning and finding clues as it won't be there by the time you're done.

  • Packard Custom
Play through 'The Gas Man' until you reach the part when you need to go to the InstaHeat Factory. One will be sitting in the parking lot.

Need help finding a specific vehicle? Or maybe you have a tip to share with the masses? Let us know in the comments below, but please be sure to keep things spoiler-free. Always best to respect the experiences of other players that might not have played through the full game yet.

Rockstar Game Tips by Request: Five Finger Fillet, Sharpshooter Rank 10, Bounty Hunting, Horseshoes and Knifin' Cougars (Red Dead Redemption)

John Marston tries his hand at Five Finger Fillet, one of many tasks needed to achieve 100% completion in Red Dead Redemption.

Following one of our previous Rockstar Game Tips posts that covered five frequently asked Red Dead Redemption questions, we've gotten a bunch more that are all about making your way to the elite status of attaining 100% completion. We're happy to help and share with you all some tips straight from our inside experts. Remember that you can track your completion progress dynamically on the Rockstar Games Social Club when linking your console account.

"Well, there is a challenge I haven't been able to do yet, because I don't know how I can do this. I'm talking about the ´sharpshooter rank 10´ challenge. I'm very desperate!" - emmi18176860

For Sharpshooter Rank 10, you're tasked with disarming any six enemies without reloading or changing weapons. One of the more popular methods for this has been to go into a saloon at night, like the one in Armadillo or Thieves' Landing. Get behind cover, equip the Mauser Pistol (bought at the gunsmith on the east side of Blackwater) and aim at someone to get the whole room to draw their weapons. Enter Dead Eye, mark your shots on several guns and fire away.

Entering and leaving Dead Eye will reload your weapons without technically reloading them, allowing you to complete this one with relative ease.

"All I need to do is complete a five finger fillet game to attain 100% but its almost impossible ... what do i do???" - received via Twitter

Head for Torquemada, located high above ground level in Mexico. A nearby hill will lead you to the top. You'll have to defeat four players, each of them requiring you to go through longer Five Finger Fillet sequences than the previous person. While practice is the obvious key here, one of the best methods for controller handling may not be. If you're right-handed, try holding the controller with your left hand and using the index finger on your right hand to press the button combinations. Do this in reverse if you're left-handed.

You'll likely lose some money early on when trying to complete this to get one of the Reyes' Rebels Outfit scraps, so bet low.

"How do you make wanted posters appear? i got only 13/20. Do they appear in specific towns and times of day? #RDR" - received via Twitter

Once you've advanced pretty far into the game, unlocking the last region West Elizabeth, you may notice on the Social Club 100% tracking page that you still have some bounty hunting to do. This may confuse you when you see that there's no sign of wanted posters on your map, represented by a skull icon. In order to get one to show up, visit Armadillo, Blackwater, Chuparosa, El Presidio, Escalera, MacFarlane's Ranch, Manzanita Post and/or Rathskeller Fork during the daytime. It may take a few seconds after entering the town to get one to appear.

Remember that your progress in bounty stats counting toward 100% completion is based on bounty locations, not bounty targets. So even if you’re seeing question marks on posters or get a bounty name you know you’ve already done, that bounty can still be one you’re missing if it’s a location you haven’t done yet.

"I suck at playing horseshoes #reddeadredemption" - received via Twitter

It takes a big man to admit his weaknesses - but this is one you can easily self-improve on. As with Five Finger Fillet, playing Horseshoes is all about practice and getting a feel for how the game is supposed to be won. Head to MacFarlane's Ranch, the place you need to conquer this mini-game in order to get a scrap of the Bollard Twins Outfit as you work toward 100%. Here are some tips:
  • When swinging your arm, get a good, smooth rhythm before releasing. You don't want to throw too short or too far.
  • The in-game camera may re-aim your horizontal direction between throws. Be sure to correct it if it looks to be a bit off.
  • Don't skip a turn. Chances are that the other player will do worse if you watch him throw, rather than if you skipped it altogether.

Horseshoes has been fine-tuned to be a challenging mini-game that's going to require concentration and plenty of practice. And remember that luck is certainly involved in every toss...

"Killing cougars with a knife is HARD!!! The process seems to be roll, slash, die, repeat. Any tips, @RockstarGames? #RedDeadRedemption" - received via Twitter

The Master Hunter Rank 5 challenge is best done in the hills north of MacFarlane's Ranch or in the open plains surrounding Fort Mercer. Before you head there, go to the local doctor in a nearby town such as Armadillo and buy plenty of Medicine. You can carry five unless you have the Treasure Hunter Satchel, only obtained after finding every treasure, which allows you to carry 10.

Ride around on your horse until you find a cougar, usually visible or audible when riding around. Try putting down some Bait if you don't see one. When you find one, shoot it once anywhere but the head to injure it. Get off your horse and equip your hunting knife. Roll out of the way and try to turn around in time to stab. Use Medicine if it mauls you. After you get one, you can choose to go after another one if you still have a good amount of Medicine, or if not it's a good idea to save your game and then return to the area.

Most definitely keep the tips requests coming - we'll be happy to oblige in future installments here at the Newswire.

Rockstar Game Tips: The Biographies and Lies Mission (Undead Nightmare)

John Marston set to go on a zombie shootin' spree in Gaptooth Breach so he can receive one of the two sticks of Dynamite needed to complete "Biographies and Lies" in Undead Nightmare.

One of the most asked about missions in Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare following the release of both the DLC and disc version is "Biographies and Lies".

In "Biographies and Lies", John Marston meets up with an old friend in Casa Madrugada. The friend mentions it would be best if "we could only get something that would attract these blighters", referring to the zombies. He also requests John to find him more Dynamite since he's "running pretty low".

Your task is to get two sticks of Dynamite and two bottles of Undead Bait. Here's how to find them:

Dynamite: To obtain two sticks of Dynamite, one way is to head to a town and save it from the zombie hordes. Try Gaptooth Breach and Agave Viejo. When you've successfully rid each area of zombies, you'll receive a stick of Dynamite. You can also rarely get Dynamite from killing zombies.

Undead Bait: Collect one 1 Wild Feverfew and 1 Prairie Poppy to create one Undead Bait. Wild Feverfew can be found in the area surrounding Armadillo, Thieves' Landing and other areas across Cholla Springs and Hennigan's Stead. Prairie Poppy are located in Great Plains.

Return to the old friend in Casa Madrugada to complete the mission, and to be able to now build Boom Bait.

Best of luck - and shout to us in comments if there's any other tricky missions you'd like help with whether in Undead, Red Dead, or any Rockstar game whatsoever.

Rockstar Game Tips: Treasure, Four Horses, Chupacabra, California and Hunting Beaver (Red Dead & Undead)

John Marston and Sam Odessa shake hands as part of the mission "California" in Red Dead Redemption. We'll help guide you through that one along with other tips in this installment of the Rockstar Game Tips series...

With so much to do in Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare, we often get asked a good amount of who/what/where/when/how gameplay questions on Twitter, Facebook and here at the Newswire.

Here are our official pro tip answers to 5 of the most frequently asked game questions over the past few months...

Where is the Chupacabra in Undead Nightmare?

The greatest chance of finding the Chupacabra is in Nuevo Paraiso when you are on the last tier of the hunting challenges. You'll know it's nearby when you see a message and the radius of its possible location on the map. Look around the fields northwest of Torquemada, southeast of Perdido, and south of Casa Madrugada.

How do I start the treasure hunting challenges?

The first treasure map is found during an ambient challenge, meaning it can happen at any time and at any place. Be on the lookout for a man on the side of the road that's being robbed by bandits. Help save the man to obtain the first map.

Where can I find the Four Horses of the Apocalypse? What happens if one of these horses die? How do I get the deeds to these horses?

The four horses will not spawn near roads. Watch for a message that lets you know a mythical creature is nearby. Pestilence spawns in the north, War spawns in the frontier, Famine spawns in Nuevo Paraiso and Death is awarded after the final mission in the main story. Death can also be found in any of the other apocalypse horse locations before the end of the game as long as the player has broken the other three.

Marston tames War out in the field, ready to set an entire land of zombies on fire...

If one of the Four Horses of the Apocalypse dies or is replaced, you will only be able to access it again after completing completing all the Four Horses of the Apocalypse challenges. At that point, you will receive the deeds for all four horses. If you have not completed all of the Four Horses challenges and you complete the story, you will be granted the deed to Death automatically and then can still earn all deeds by finishing the challenges.

How do you find Sam Odessa and complete 'California'?

First complete the mission 'Women and Cattle'. This is a prerequisite. Then find Sam Odessa in the stranger mission 'California' by looking for a question mark on your map just south of the 'h' in Gaptooth Breach. A few days later, look for the second question mark icon just north of Cueva Seca. The third question mark is up along the road through a cut in the hills near Gaptooth Ridge. The fourth and final area is just south of Tumbleweed. Take the letter and mail it from Blackwater to unlock Treasure Hunter Outfit Scrap 2.

Remember that it will take a few days between each encounter to find each new question mark. Advance time by saving repeatedly or by playing through each day. Entering and exiting the save screen advances time by six hours, even if the user doesn't complete the save. This can save a little time when done repeatedly compared with actually going through the save process each time.

Where can I find beavers?

No animal location has been asked for more than beavers. These pesky critters have eluded many players. Check along the water west of the Pacific Union Railroad Camp and north of Beecher's Hope. Stand still and look for movement in the grass. Oh, and be careful. For a full listing of just about every animal location, see our original guide.

Rockstar Game Tips: Becoming Unpredictable in Liar's Dice (Liars and Cheats/Undead Nightmare Disc)

o KiDxCuDi o, L U F F Y, TheAmbadassad0r, RedDeadDev3, GVRafioso1 and Skatepro123IV bring their skills and strategies to the Liar's Dice table in Thieves' Landing in one of our latest Social Club multiplayer events...

With the release of the Liars and Cheats Pack DLC for Red Dead Redemption (and as part of the Undead Nightmare disc release), came multiplayer Liar's Dice. It's an opportunity not only to play Liars Dice with your friends but also an opportunity to play with reanimated corpses as illustrated above. Kudos to the zombies for keeping their murderous impulses at bay during a friendly game of dice. In the multiplayer iteration, you never know who's bluffing, so improving your skills is key. Today, we present a new entry into the Rockstar Game Tips series that has the most effective strategies for ensuring victory. First up, let's recap how the game actually works:

  1. You'll start Liar's Dice with a cup and five dice. The game automatically takes care of shaking up the dice and slamming the cup on the table for each player. This happens at the beginning of the game and again whenever a player loses a die during the game.
  2. Look at your dice. Other players cannot see what you have, so this is where you’ll need to begin guessing what other players might have.
  3. When it's your turn to bid, you're first going to choose a side of die: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6. Then you are going to guess how many of that side of die are face up on the table, meaning the total number of that one die under all cups. For example, you have two 6's under your cup in a game with six players. It's a pretty good bet early in a game that with so many other dice on the table, there's probably another 6 under someone else's cup. So a very safe bet would be three 6's.
  4. After you bid three 6's, the player sitting to your left has three options:
    1. Raise the bid to anything above three 6's (example: four 1's, four 2's, and so on).
    2. Call the bid spot-on. If it turns out that there are exactly three 6's on the table and the bid is called spot-on, everyone but the current bidder will lose a die.
    3. Call your bluff. If the bidder doesn't think there are actually three 6's on the table, calling a bluff will result in you losing one die if there aren't three on the table, or the bidder losing one die if there are three or more.
  5. As the game nears the end and more dice disappear, bids gets lower (example: one 5, two 3's) and players run out of dice, making things even more interesting.
  6. The last person with one or more dice remaining wins.

When you're out of dice, you're out of the game. You can choose to sit and watch the remaining players or you can dive back into the many multiplayer playlist options.

The best way to learn how to play is... by practicing! Yes, we're talking about practice. Practice in Private mode if you don't want to use your funds. To access Private mode, enter multiplayer from the Red Dead main menu. Once it loads, press Back/Select and choose Private Free Roam. Lastly, choose Liar's Dice. You can also start Liar's Dice by entering the buildings in any of the three areas that offer the game.

You'll start Red Dead Redemption online multiplayer with $200. For a full explanation on how funds work in the game, see this Rockstar Support article on the subject. Here are the buy-in amounts and locations for Liar's Dice:

  • Escalera - $10
  • Casa Madrugada - $25
  • Thieves' Landing - $100

And now for some general tips:

  • The best time to lie is early in the game when there are plenty of dice on the table. If you're betting first at a table of six players and it's the beginning of the game, betting three or four sixes without even looking at your own dice is a safe and strategic bet.
  • Mix up your bidding strategy to keep other players guessing. If you have two fours under your cup, bid one four. Later during another round you have two fours again, so bid one five even though you don't have a five. Keep your opponents on their toes. Later on in another round, you have two fours, so bid three 4's, more than you have.  Being too predictable is the quickest way to get beat.
  • Study your opponents. Do your best to keep track of how often and whether or not certain players are lying, and how they react in certain situations.
  • It's never a bad idea to use time in your favor. When it's your turn late in the game, take your time before bidding, looking under your cup several times. Try to make other players think that you're not in a good spot, and that you don't have what it takes under your cup to make it to the next round. Of course, bid safely, and hope they call your bluff.
  • If you're pretty sure you don't want to bid any higher, and you're faced with the decision to call a bluff or call the bid spot-on, it's a better strategy to call it spot-on. If this happens several times in the same game, you'll eventually get one or two spot-on bids correct.

So what did we miss? What are your strategies for Liar's Dice? Lay it on us in the comments below.

Rockstar Game Tips: Saddling Up in Grand Prix Horse Racing (Liars and Cheats / Undead Nightmare Disc)

Racing horses through winding gulches and treacherously shooting friends and enemies in the back online with Grand Prix has been a fan-favorite part of the Red Dead Redemption multiplayer experience (and a staple of our ongoing live streaming official multiplayer events series) since the original release of the Liars and Cheats Pack DLC and again as included as part of the Undead Nightmare disc release in stores now.

High time for a rundown of pro tips to help you saddle up, outpace, outgun and outride the comp.

A few seconds after each race begins, a shotgun and a handgun become available for use with limited ammo, as well as a knife.  There are 3 circuits and 12 total races:

Carrera del Diablo
  • Carrera del Diablo
  • Ridge Racin'
  • L. Johnson's Run
  • Caronas Paradise
N. Johns Invitational
  • Tall Trees Trail (One of the most perilous courses in the game, this race will have you riding along the water's edge a lot of the time, so best to stay to the right side.)
  • Rio Run
  • Sidewinder Breeze
  • Boulder Dash
  • Manzanita Mile
Rathskeller Series
  • Rathskeller Run
  • Saint's Sprint
  • Boulder Dash
Follow these tips to keep your skills sharpened during the heat of all 12 races:
  • Your knife is perhaps the most useful weapon in Horse Racing.  It never runs out of ammunition and no more than two slices take a player or his horse down.
  • Shotgun shells are powerful, but you only get six per race.  Conserve until you are on a straightaway and are near your opponents.
  • Use your hand gun to fire on opponents when you're lagging behind during the second half of each race.
  • Don't let your own gunfire slow you down.  Keep your horse galloping at max speed, or you could be costing yourself a few places in the final standings.
  • Watch out for trees and rocks as they sometimes will be right in your way on the course.
Three Achievements/Trophies can be earned while in Grand Prix Horse Racing:
  • From Glue to Mon Dieu! - To get this one, you need to place last and then get first in the next race.  For example, if you get last place on the Tall Trees Trail, you'd need to get first place on Rio Run.  Expert players may need to throw a race to pull this one off!
  • Peacewalker - Do you have what it takes to not get shot during an entire race, and to not fire your weapons either?  If you're successful, you'll get this Achievement/Trophy.
  • Triple Crown - Get first place in one of the three circuits.  The Rathskeller Series is the shortest at three races long, so it's probably your best bet.
If you have any tips to add onto all of these, let us know.  And look for more in our Game Tips series in the new year.  If you have any particular game modes or missions or Achievements/Trophies you need help with - also let us know and we may oblige in a future edition.

Rockstar Game Tips: More Co-Op Mission Pro Tips for Red Dead Redemption (Outlaws to the End / Undead Nightmare Disc)

(The RedDeadDevs work together to rescue The Kidnapped Girl and bring her back safely to Ridgewood Farm...)

Today's entry in the Rockstar Game Tips series picks up where we left off last week, covering the last 3 co-operative missions from the Outlaws to the End Co-Op Mission Pack, included as part of the disc-based Undead Nightmare release. Read on for pro tips and tricks to help you and your trusty two-to-four-man squad conquer "The Kidnapped Girl", "The River" and "Walton's Gold" - three very different mission sequences each with their own distinct challenges.

The Kidnapped Girl (Bandits have taken over Fort Mercer and they're holding a farmer's daughter hostage.  You and your crew will need to charge the fort and eliminate the gang with all firepower necessary - then fend off enemy reinforcements as you transport the girl by stagecoach safely to her home at Ridgewood Farm.)

  • Take out all enemies on the front lines before rushing the gates.  The easiest way to end up dead (fast) is to rush forward at the beginning of this mission.  Gatling guns and armed enemies await you, and they aren't very happy you've decided to pay them a visit.

  • Be careful when blowing the explosives on the front gates.  Make sure all posse members are clear.

  • The Winchester Repeater included with the Soldier class works well for the enemies inside Fort Mercer.  It allows you to take out many of them before walking inside.  Stand right outside the open gates and fire away, strafing left and right to use the cover of the walls to regenerate health.

  • Stay alert when riding back to Ridgewood Farm as enemies will come at you from all directions.  If you have to stop the stagecoach to revive a member of your posse, do it quickly as you could all end up dead in a matter of seconds...

The River (Ride a raft down river, taking out rebel encampments along the way until you reach the rebel stronghold of Nosalida and a final epic battle for the town's massive weapons caches.  Watch out for Gatling gun-equipped enemy rafts.)

  • As soon as your posse reaches land for the first time, run right along the lower part of the shoreline for about 15-20 seconds.  Turn around and you'll have all of the enemies in front of you instead of surrounding you.

  • Similar to the first part of the mission, run to the right and behind the collection of large rocks the second time your posse reaches land.  This area is known as The Scratching Post.

  • The Soldier class is recommended as the Winchester Repeater comes in very handy when firing at enemies as the raft travels down the river.  The Miner class helps when in close quarters combat on land at The Scratching Post.

  • Keep your posse together when you reach Nosalida.  Enemies will be coming from all directions, and be mindful of other players' positions when you decide to blow up any TNT.

Walton's Gold (Walton's Gang have taken control of a mining camp rich with gold.  Fight through the camp and load your mine cart with as much gold as you can carry, then get out as fast as you can - Walton's boys have rigged the place to blow!)

  • Immediately run west with your posse to go around all of the enemies so that you can approach them closely with cover.

  • Once inside the mine, blow any TNT crates and barrels to avoid future accidental player deaths.  Just make sure that when you do this, you tell your posse.  R.I.P. RedDeadDev4.

(The RedDeadDevs watch the mine blow near the end of Walton's Gold. Mission accomplished...)

  • The Miner class really shows its power when using the Pump-action Shotgun on the enemies inside the mine, especially the cluster of enemies that stand near the mine cart.  Dynamite also helps to take down any enemies manning Gatling Guns.

  • Gather two bags of gold at a time and load them into the cart.  The more gold you have in the cart, the more experience you will receive.

As always, if you've got other good trusty tips of your own to share for any aspects of the co-operative missions from Outlaws to the End / Undead Nightmare, don't be greedy - drop 'em in the comments below.
